Welcome to Drinkstone and take a virtual tour of our Suffolk and Texel flocks. Find out what they have achieved and how they could help your flock satisfy the increasing demands of sheep meat production in the 21st century.

Whether you are looking for pedigree bloodstock to improve your own performance data; or you want terminal sire rams that will provide consistent lambs to satisfy the order book – Drinkstone has the answer

The Drinkstone flocks of pedigree Suffolks and pedigree Texels aspire to produce elite breeding stock. Under the ownership and management of father and son, Arnold and John Park, they have worked closely with a number of the UK’s leading flocks.

Today, remarkably both Drinkstone flocks are within the top 5% of their respective breeds – and only just outside the top 1%.

Key to their unparalleled success is their fastidious approach to performance recording, aspiring to greater growth rates, muscle depth and lean meat ratio, combined with management traits and confirmation.

The flocks are found grazing in the Scottish Borders, near Hawick, Roxburghshire, where the 525 hectares Drinkstone farm runs from 750ft to 1050ft above sea level. Hardiness is a prerequisite, enhanced by other management traits, including ease of lambing, lamb vigour and worm resistance.
